Recently, my son turned one and, of course, one of the most crucial elements of the day was the cake. I thought long and hard about where I should get it because it was important to me that it not only look great in photos, but taste great too. Who wants to spend a ton of money on a cake that doesn’t taste good?
We decided on The Night Kitchen Bakery in Chestnut Hill because my sister-in-law used them for my husband’s 40th (and I was literally eating forkfuls over the kitchen sink for almost a week after it was so good). After 30 years in the business of baking, they know what they are doing and they knew exactly what I wanted.
They made the process very simple too. I called and spoke to a very nice woman who gave me her email and told me to send her a picture of my inspiration and how many people we would need the cake to feed. They called me back with a price, and flavor options. I gave them my credit card and my husband picked up the cake at 8am on the day of the party. Easy as pie…or cake!
The cake was chocolate chip on the inside (for Cookie Monster of course) with buttercream icing-YUM. They even made a little smash cake for my son with plain vanilla cake.
Highly recommend these talented bakers for your next special occasion. P.S.- I’ve heard their brownies are “Best of Philly” so maybe we will be going back before the next party 🙂
